Former Finnish ambassador Antti Helanterä appointed as director of strategy at Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Former Finnish Ambassador to Russia, Antti Helanterä, has been appointed as the Director of Strategy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His tenure is set to run from October 14, 2024, to July 31, 2029.
Helanterä has an extensive background in diplomacy, having previously served not only in Moscow but also at Finland’s Permanent Representation to the EU, as well as in the planning and research unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has been part of the Ministry’s service since 2004.
