Production at Olkiluoto 3 dropped on Wednesday after one of the reactor’s control rods unexpectedly fell into the reactor. To investigate the cause of the incident and address the malfunction, the plant’s electricity generation was reduced. According to TVO, the event did not impact nuclear safety.
