Police investigate robbery involving food delivery person in Espoo, Finland

Police recently responded to an incident in Espoo, Finland, involving a food delivery person who was allegedly robbed. The emergency services received a call regarding the incident that occurred during the night between September 26 and 27. According to the report, a man threatened the delivery driver with violence to steal a food delivery bag.

The West Uusimaa Police Department stated that after the alleged robbery, the suspect entered a vehicle which then left the scene. Later, officers located the vehicle, whose driver was found to be prohibited from driving. Passengers were present in the back seat, along with the stolen delivery bag.

Authorities suspect that following the robbery, the driver attempted to run over the food delivery person, although the driver narrowly escaped injury. After the incident, police apprehended two men; one was the vehicle’s driver, while the other was the suspected robber. The police are investigating the case as a robbery and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
