Jimmie Åkesson denies close ties to Comanches member amid party scrutiny in Sweden

Jimmie Åkesson, the leader of the Sweden Democrats (SD), stated that he is only “superficially acquainted” with a wedding guest who is a prominent member of the criminal motorcycle gang, Comanches. However, reports indicate that this individual has attended Åkesson’s private parties for several years, including Åkesson’s “glitter party” in 2018.

According to a source within the Sweden Democrats, the 2018 event was described as a “hierarchy party,” where only those who had received Åkesson’s approval were invited. Key party figures, including Mattias Karlsson and Richard Jomshof, along with the party’s press service, were reportedly aware of the gang affiliation but did not inform the party leader.
