A yellow weather warning has been issued for Faxaflói, Breiðafjörður, and the Westfjords. The weather alert will take effect tomorrow at nine o’clock for Breiðafjörður and the Westfjords, and on Saturday for Faxaflói and Breiðafjörður. Meanwhile, the northeastern regions of the country will continue to experience good weather conditions.

Strong southwestern winds are expected in the northwest of the country tomorrow, with gusts reaching 30 meters per second in some places. However, the wind speed will decrease by the end of the day.

Earlier warnings were issued about the wind conditions in the northern parts of Snæfellsnes and the Westfjords. Sharp wind gusts are expected near the mountains.

Heavy rainfall is forecasted in the western part of the country over the weekend, increasing the likelihood of landslides and rockfalls.

In contrast, the weather will remain very good in the eastern part of the country, with temperatures expected to reach twenty degrees in Egilsstaðir.
