Support for the three ruling parties continues to decline, with the Independence Party polling at 12%. According to a recent survey by Prósent, the combined support for the ruling parties stands at only 20%. The Social Democratic Party remains the largest party at 26%, followed closely by the Center Party at 18%.

This latest survey indicates a significant drop in support for the ruling coalition, with the Progress Party now down to 5% and the Left-Green Movement at just 3%. In a Gallup poll conducted on October 1, the Social Democratic Party also led with 26.3%, while the Independence Party followed with 17.1%, and the Center Party was not far behind at 16%.

Both the People’s Party and the Reform Party are jointly polling at 11%, while the Pirate Party has 9%, and the Socialist Party registers at 4%, placing them in the middle range of support among the political parties.

The Prósent survey was conducted from September 18 to October 3, involving approximately 15,000 individuals aged 18 and older from across the country. Participants were randomly selected from the survey group via email invitations, and the results were weighted based on gender, age, and residence to ensure representative accuracy.

The continuous decline in support has led to discussions about the challenges the current government faces, as it experiences historically low approval ratings.
