Klaksvík Municipality hit by significant cyberattack, personal data compromised

Last week, the second-largest municipality in the Faroe Islands became the victim of a significant cyberattack on its IT systems.

While the full consequences are not yet clear, it has been confirmed that unknown hackers compromised sensitive personal information belonging to residents of Klaksvík Municipality.
