According to a recent survey by SVT/Verian, the opposition has gained ownership of key issues like taxation, energy policy, and employment, previously held by the Tidöparties. Per Söderpalm, opinion chief at Verian, suggests this shift is due to heightened attention in political discussions over the autumn, where the Tidöparties faced criticism.

The survey shows a notable change in voter perception regarding EU matters and education, where control is now seen as divided among the political blocs. Previously, the Tidöparties had a clearer lead in these areas. For issues like law and order, defense, and immigration, the Tidöparties still maintain an advantage, while the opposition leads on environmental concerns, healthcare, and elder care. Voter opinion is markedly influenced by the issues dominating political and media focus.

The poll indicates that the Swedish Democrats rank in the top three for 14 issues, while the Left Party is recognized as competitive in eight areas. In contrast, the Liberals and the Center Party are perceived as owning only one issue each.

Key issues owned by the Tidöparties include law and order, defense, and immigration, while the opposition dominates in climate, healthcare, and housing. Critical issues like education and EU policy are viewed as contested.

The Verian polling was conducted with over 1,000 interviews from a randomly selected panel, with a response rate around 40%. The data reflects the opinions of participants aged 18-84, supplemented by telephone interviews for those aged 85 and older. The survey was conducted between September 23 and 25.
