Intercity train halts near downtown Tampere following personal injury incident

An Intercity train traveling from Helsinki to Oulu has come to a stop near downtown Tampere, according to VR, the Finnish railway operator. The interruption is due to a personal injury incident. The train is currently delayed by approximately one hour, as reported by VR.

An on-site journalist from Yle noted that there are numerous emergency vehicles at the scene of the accident. The delay is also impacting at least one other Intercity train heading to Pori from Tampere, as well as the M train route from Nokiala to Tampere.
