Former footballer Nicklas Bendtner is set to shadow coach Kåre Ingebrigtsen at Ranheim as part of his coaching education. Bendtner, who recently obtained his coaching license, aims to gain experience by visiting various clubs. He stated, “I have a good relationship with Kåre and appreciated his approach during his time at Rosenborg.”

Bendtner, who played for Rosenborg from 2017 for two and a half seasons, is returning to work alongside Ingebrigtsen, who was his manager at Rosenborg. Ingebrigtsen praised Bendtner, calling him one of the top forwards in Europe and claiming he is the best player to have played in the Eliteserien.

Reflecting on his playing days, Bendtner, who retired in 2019 after more than 100 appearances for Arsenal, expressed his passion for the game. When asked how much he misses playing football, he humorously replied, “12” on a scale of 1-10.

Bendtner has conveyed his aspirations of becoming a coach in the future, emphasizing his desire to learn from experienced figures like Ingebrigtsen. Although he has not specified which clubs he might want to coach, Bendtner simply wishes to acquire as much experience as possible from various coaches and players.

Ingebrigtsen believes Bendtner has the potential to become a successful football coach, citing his extensive experience and understanding of the game. “If I were at FC Copenhagen, I would have brought him in to train forwards and manage attacking play,” he said, highlighting Bendtner’s valuable contributions to any coaching team.
