The former chief municipal doctor of Frosta has been charged with raping 88 women, with a total of 95 women recognized as victims in the indictment. It has been confirmed that he admits to guilt regarding parts of the charges.

His defense attorney, Erlend Hjulstad Nilsen, stated that the defendant has acknowledged guilt for three instances of rape, in which the victims were legally unable to resist the actions. Additionally, the defendant has admitted to 40 cases of abusing his position to obtain sexual acts from the victims.

Up until recently, the defendant had maintained his innocence. According to his lawyer, he only began to provide details on specific cases after extensive review of the substantial evidence, as many incidents occurred a long time ago.

New police interrogations took place last Wednesday, and Hjulstad Nilsen confirmed that further questioning is scheduled for this week. The nature of the topics discussed during these interrogations was communicated in a prior press release.

With the indictment now clear, the question of guilt is set to be a focal point in the upcoming police interviews.
