A fire caused damage to an office building in the Fellsmúli area of Reykjavík last night. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. All available firefighting units were dispatched to the scene. The fire department received the alarm just before 2 AM and successfully extinguished the fire. However, significant time was spent cleaning up the water and managing the aftermath of the firefighting efforts. Insurance companies are now evaluating the damage.

Additionally, police made two arrests in unrelated incidents. One man was apprehended following a physical assault in the Efra-Breiðholt district, while another man, found in a suspicious state downtown Reykjavík, was detained on charges of property damage. Both are currently held in police custody, alongside two others. In a separate incident, a driver stopped in Kópavogur was found to be unlicensed, while a passenger was discovered to have suspected narcotics in their possession. Both individuals were released after police intervention.
