Klaksvík municipality holds meeting to address cyber attack aftermath

This morning, the municipality of Klaksvík held an informational meeting for its employees to discuss the situation following a cyber attack on the community.

“There has been some communication with the attackers. Otherwise, we are working on developing a new platform to operate on,” stated Karl Johansen, the mayor of Klaksvík.

On Monday, September 23, it became clear that the municipality had been impacted by the cyber attack that occurred over the previous weekend.
