Traffic accident involving cyclists and car in Verdal, Trøndelag

The police have reported a traffic accident involving two cyclists and a car in Verdal, Trøndelag. The road is currently closed, and emergency services are on the scene.

Two individuals have been transported by ambulance to the trauma unit at Levanger Hospital. According to authorities, the incident appears to be serious, with the two cyclists being struck at high speed. The accident occurred on Jamtlandsvegen in Verdal. The cyclists, both teenagers, were conscious when medics arrived.

The police are conducting a scene investigation. They have control of the car driver involved and are interviewing witnesses at the site.

“There were several witnesses to the incident,” said an on-site police commander. However, law enforcement has not disclosed specific details regarding the incident or the vehicle’s speed. “We are still in the early stages of the investigation and are conducting inquiries,” he added.
