Event at Nordic House to discuss food system impact on Faroese society
On Wednesday, an event will take place at the Nordic House aimed at discussing how a nationwide food system can impact Faroese society concerning health, well-being, agriculture, and local food production. The initiative is being led by Joan Sørensen and Gaia.
Gaia is described as a public organization dedicated to developing a self-sufficient, sustainable, and nutrition-oriented food system for children and youth in public institutions and schools across the Faroe Islands.
Joan Sørensen is convinced that it is indeed feasible to establish a food system for all children in the Faroe Islands. Among the advantages she highlights are providing children with healthy meals and promoting local production within the islands.
The event will take place in the Skáli area of the Nordic House on Wednesday, October 2, from 1 PM to 3 PM.
