Prime Minister states he cannot annul decision on Glasir principal dismissal in Faroe Islands

The Prime Minister has stated that he does not have the authority to annul the decision made by the Ministry of Education regarding the retraction of the dismissal of the principal at Glasir, which occurred during the tenure of the education manager there.

Aksel V. Johannesen made this comment in response to parliamentary representative Jørgen Niclasen. He also expressed his belief that Djóni Nolsøe Joensen, the Minister, has not acted improperly in this matter.

Although the administration of the minister acknowledges that unfortunate administrative errors have occurred, these mistakes took place at an administrative level for which the minister cannot be held accountable, the Prime Minister explained.

He urged the minister to ensure that such mistakes do not happen again in the future.
