A mother expressed her shock over an unsettling incident involving her child in Trondheim. She described the experience as surreal and overwhelming when it happens to your own child. The police received reports that two boys were approached by a man while out with friends in Ranheim. According to law enforcement, an adult notified them that the children had been stopped by someone in a vehicle.

The incident occurred on Saturday morning, during which the man allegedly lured the boys with candy and claimed to know their parents. In a frightening turn, the man grabbed one boy’s hand, attempting to pull him into the car. Fortunately, the boy managed to pull away and quickly rode off on his bike, stating it was the fastest he had ever pedaled. A friend, who witnessed the event, also cycled past the man while he attempted to stop him as well.

Both boys displayed remarkable intelligence and bravery during the ordeal, noted the mother. Afterward, the parents contacted the police, who were prompt in taking the situation seriously and dispatched a patrol to interview the children. The police are seeking tips from anyone who may have seen the incident, describing the suspect as having dark skin, black beard, and gray hair, and driving a white van.

The mother emphasized the importance of discussing safety with children, acknowledging that despite prior conversations about encountering strangers, it remains chilling when such situations arise. She urged other parents to engage their children in similar discussions and stay vigilant.
