Man under investigation for rape and attempted murder near Finnish jogging path
A 22-year-old man is under investigation for a severe case of rape and attempted murder near a jogging path in Jyväskylä, Finland. The crimes are suspected to have occurred on the evening of Sunday, July 7, near the Halssila Tammirinne School, between 9:30 and 10:00 PM.
According to police reports, the suspect and the victim were not previously acquainted. The police were able to identify the suspect through their investigation and apprehended him approximately two hours after the alleged crimes had taken place.
The suspect was detained on Thursday morning by the decision of the Central Finland District Court. He is currently being held on probable cause for suspicion of the crimes.
