NATO membership boosts investment willingness of SMEs in Finland
NATO membership has significantly boosted the investment willingness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Finland, according to a survey conducted by Finnish Entrepreneurs. The survey, known as the Yrittäjägallup, indicates that alongside NATO membership, a predictable operating environment, energy availability, security, and infrastructure are also important factors enhancing SMEs’ readiness to invest in Finland.
Conversely, SMEs identified several key hurdles to investment, including the influence of labor unions, rising public debt, the level of taxation, labor conflicts in ports, and the overall economic outlook. The survey, carried out by the research company Verian, engaged over 1,100 representatives from micro and small to medium-sized enterprises in August.
