Record guest nights reported in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands for August 2023

Accommodation facilities set a record in August, with a total of 34,466 guest nights, 4,792 more than in the same month last year.

Guest nights are calculated based on the number of nights people stay, meaning if 10 individuals each stay for three nights, it totals 30 guest nights.

More than 30,000 guest nights were recorded at accommodations in the capital city of Tórshavn, while other parts of the country accounted for 4,444 nights.

August 2023 marks a notable achievement, as it is only the second month on record to surpass 34,000 guest nights. The only month with higher numbers was July 2022, which saw 35,252 guest nights.
