Concerns have been raised about the significant deterioration of traffic and safety in the port area if the national theater is located on the eastern dock. As a result, we advise against this plan, stated Hanus Mikkelsen, director of Tórshavn Harbor.

Mikkelsen emphasized that even if the ferry Norrøna is moved to the Skansabryggjan in the future, the presence of the national theater at the eastern dock would still lead to congestion and issues in the port area.

He echoed the concerns of the director of coastal ferries, who pointed out that locating the national theater in this area would also disrupt the operations of the Smyrill ferry.
