Seven women and eleven men elected to Representative Council of Betri in Faroe Islands

In a recent voting process, seven women and eleven men have been elected to the Representative Council of Betri, an insurance company in the Faroe Islands.
In the past weeks, policyholders of Betri Trygging participated in the election for the Representative Council of the Association of Policyholders. A total of 6,479 individuals cast their votes, representing approximately 30 percent of all policyholders, which marks an increase in voter turnout compared to previous years.
This year, 25 candidates ran for 18 available seats on the council. Of the newly elected representatives, eight are serving their first term, while ten have been re-elected.
Urd Potts from Syðrugøtu received the highest number of votes, tallying 592. Following her were Anita á Fríðsriksmørk with 516 votes, and Jóngerð Nielsen, who garnered 462 votes.
The newly elected representatives will serve a four-year term, but the council will face re-elections in two years. At that time, those who have served for two years will be up for re-election.
