On Wednesday evening, Linnanmäki amusement park’s traditional wooden roller coaster was evacuated of all riders. A visitor at the park shared that they were waiting in line for the roller coaster when staff members came to ask them to leave the area. The people who were on the roller coaster were also instructed to leave.
An ambulance was called to the scene. The incident occurred around half past nine in the evening.
According to the acting CEO of Linnanmäki, Satu Orismaa, the ambulance was needed because one of the amusement park’s customers had suffered a medical emergency. By ten o’clock, test runs on the ride had already begun again.
