In a recent statement, Beinta Dam, the national auditor, indicated that the construction committee should have been involved in the planning of the residential facility at Mýrini in Hoyvík. This was intended to ensure that the facility would adequately meet the community’s needs.

During a segment on Breddan, Dam expressed concerns about the oversight in the project’s development. Hallur Thomsen, who served as the chairman of the construction committee during the facility’s construction, supported this sentiment. He shared that when the committee first visited the building shortly before its completion, there were several aspects that they found unsatisfactory.

The residential building was completed in April of last year, but it wasn’t until October that it was officially opened for use, due to the necessity of various adjustments. The delay has raised questions regarding the construction process and the adequacy of oversight throughout the project.
