Wolf follows person and dog in Muhos, police warn of unusual and potentially dangerous behavior

A person and their dog were followed by a wolf in Muhos, according to a statement released by the North Ostrobothnia police. The person had been out walking their dog in the morning and encountered the wolf on a road in the eastern parts of Muhos. The police report that the wolf began to follow the person and their dog, who retreated to the yard of a nearby house. Subsequently, the wolf remained in the vicinity.
The police have stated that the wolf’s behavior can be considered unusual and potentially seriously dangerous to humans. The Oulu police have decided that if the wolf does not move far enough away from the populated area, it will be put down.
