Half of large Finnish companies plan to replace jobs with artificial intelligence, survey shows

Nearly half of large Finnish companies plan to replace jobs with artificial intelligence, according to a survey conducted by the OP Group. The most common tasks anticipated to be replaced by AI are related to reporting, data processing, customer service, and communications. Conversely, just over a quarter of respondents do not intend to substitute jobs with AI.

Half of the surveyed major Finnish firms believe that AI plays a critical role in their success. Additionally, 37 percent of respondents consider Finland to be an attractive destination for international AI projects at present. The survey, carried out by Taloustutkimus, included responses from 100 Finnish companies with a minimum revenue of 100 million euros. The data collection took place via telephone interviews during April and May.
