Coldest temperatures recorded in Lapland with Vuotso dropping to -9.8 degrees Celsius

The night leading into Monday marked the coldest night of autumn so far in Lapland. According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute, the lowest temperatures were recorded at 7 a.m. in Vuotso, Kittilä, and Tulppo, all locations within Lapland. In Vuotso, the thermometer dropped to -9.8 degrees Celsius, while Kittilä recorded -9.4 degrees and Tulppo -9.1 degrees. Additionally, Naruska in Salla saw temperatures plummet to -8.8 degrees. However, not all areas in Lapland experienced freezing temperatures; for instance, in Ajoks in Kemi, the morning temperature at 5 a.m. was a milder 4.8 degrees Celsius.
