SDP increases lead in recent Helsingin Sanomat poll in Finland

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has increased its lead in a recent poll conducted by Helsingin Sanomat. The SDP’s support rose by 1.1 percentage points from the previous measurement, reaching 22.0 percent. The largest party in the current government, the National Coalition Party, follows with 20.6 percent, while the Finns Party is at 15.6 percent. The Center Party ranks fourth with 12.0 percent support. The Left Alliance, currently in fifth place, experienced the most significant decline, with its support dropping by 1.2 percentage points to 8.9 percent.

The poll was conducted by Verian, which interviewed approximately 2,400 people by phone during August and September. The margin of error for the largest parties is around two percentage points.
