Wildfire reported in Inarissa Nukkumapää region of Finland

A wildfire broke out in the Inarissa Nukkumapää region on Friday evening. Mika Hyvärinen, the on-duty chief from the Lapland Rescue Service, confirmed that alerts regarding the wildfire have been received. Firefighters from Ivalo are currently assessing the situation.

Although there has been some rain in the Inari area today, a wildfire warning remains in effect. This week alone, three large wildfires have ignited in Inari, necessitating assistance from not only the Lapland Rescue Service but also from emergency personnel in the neighboring regions of Northern Ostrobothnia and Kainuu.
