Paneliankosken Voima warns customers about scammers posing as meter inspectors in Eura

A power company operating in the Eura region of Southern Satakunta, Paneliankosken Voima, has issued a warning to its customers about vague individuals posing as electricity meter inspectors. The company has received inquiries from customers who were approached regarding inspections of their electrical cabinets and home installations. These unsolicited contacts have primarily occurred over the phone, with meetings proposed under the guise of offering free assessments.

Paneliankosken Voima stresses that customers’ electrical systems have already been inspected when they were put into operation, and there are no subsequent inspection requirements. Additionally, since the electricity meters are the company’s property, their functionality is monitored remotely, eliminating the need for external inspections.

For those looking to upgrade their electrical systems, Paneliankosken Voima recommends contacting local electrical contractors to compare prices on offers.

The company notes that similar dubious individuals have circulated in their area in previous years. They assure customers that their certified installers operate vehicles marked with Paneliankosken Voima’s branding and carry identification badges issued by the company. They also work with one subcontractor.

Paneliankosken Voima is currently engaged in a project to replace electricity meters, which is being carried out by their own staff in conjunction with the subcontractor, Sat-Electric Oy from Kokemäki.
