Traffic drop recorded in Sandoy Tunnel while Eysturoy Tunnel remains busy in August

In August, an average of over 1,000 vehicles traveled through the Sandoy Tunnel, totaling 1,097 cars. This figure marks a decrease of nearly 100 vehicles compared to July.

In contrast, the Eysturoy Tunnel saw a significantly higher volume of traffic, with 6,049 vehicles recorded in August, down from 6,191 in July.
