Prosecutor seeks manslaughter conviction in Kaukovainio playground death

A prosecutor is seeking a conviction for manslaughter in a case involving a fatal incident at a playground in Kaukovainio that occurred at the end of April. The prearranged meeting led to the death of a man in his twenties. Initially, the police suspected two men, both around 20 years old, of involvement in the crime. In the indictment, the prosecutor has decided to charge one of the accused with aiding and abetting manslaughter.

In addition, the prosecutor is requesting a conviction for robbery against the individual charged with aiding and abetting, as the indictment states the suspect allegedly stole drugs from the victim. According to the indictment, the victim died from three stab wounds. The incident took place on April 27.

As an alternative, the prosecutor is also seeking convictions for aggravated manslaughter and aggravated assault, as well as for aiding and abetting aggravated assault concerning the second accused individual. The homicide was uncovered when the victim was found dead in a playground located in Haukkapuisto on April 28.
