Kempower announces workforce reduction in Finland with 70 layoffs planned for 2024

Kempower, a manufacturer of fast charging systems for electric vehicles, has concluded its consultation process that began in July. As a result, the company will reduce its workforce in Finland by approximately 70 full-time positions. The layoffs will take place in September 2024. Additionally, the company plans to cut around 10 full-time positions outside Finland.

The consultations also led Kempower to implement temporary layoffs affecting both production and the entire workforce in Finland. These layoffs are scheduled for the fall of 2024.

Kempower currently employs 675 people in Finland and an additional 232 employees in its subsidiaries abroad.
