Crown Prince family spotted in Ålesund with new companion ahead of wedding in Geiranger

During a stroll through the streets of Ålesund on Friday, the Norwegian crown prince family was joined by a new face—Prince Sverre Magnus, who accompanied Amalie Giæver Macleod. The palace has chosen not to provide any information about Macleod, with communication chief Guri Varpe stating, “We do not wish to share any information about her.” This duo was also seen together during the May 17 celebrations in Oslo. Macleod’s father is a well-known investor.

The family was en route to Skateflukaia to catch a boat for the wedding of Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett in Geiranger. They took time to greet several local residents and even posed for selfies. Prince Sverre Magnus’ entourage also participated in a photo session with the crown prince family.

Friday also marked the entire royal family’s journey to Geiranger, including the King and Queen. While they did not attend the “get to know you” party in Ålesund, they have been touring Sunnmøre aboard the royal yacht.

An event celebrating Latin American salsa is scheduled for that evening in Geiranger, leading up to Saturday’s wedding ceremony and festivities.
