Man arrested for burglary and assault at Kuhmoisten Arms Museum in Finland

A man suspected of breaking into the Kuhmoisten Arms and Garrison Museum on Wednesday has been arrested. The Pirkanmaa District Court detained the 49-year-old man on Friday, charging him with theft and attempting aggravated assault. He is accused of attempting to run over the museum’s owner with a car during the incident.

During the burglary on Wednesday, seven long-barreled black powder firearms were stolen from the museum. The two men suspected of the crime were apprehended the same day in Kangasala.

In addition to the recent charges, the 49-year-old man is also suspected of involvement in two separate break-ins at the Kuhmoisten Arms Museum that occurred in July. Due to these previous allegations, he had already been in pre-trial detention earlier this summer.
