Robber sentenced to three and a half years in Kuopio as appeal looms

On Monday, the North Savo District Court sentenced a 19-year-old man to three and a half years in prison for three counts of aggravated robbery, one count of robbery, and one count of attempted robbery. The man committed thefts at various stores across Kuopio during the past winter. He threatened employees with a knife and acquired small amounts of cash.
The man stated that his motivation for the crimes stemmed from financial difficulties caused by a gambling addiction.
