Man identified as missing individual found dead in Álftanes

The police believe they have identified the man found dead in Álftanes yesterday. Sævar Guðmundsson, chief inspector at the police department, stated that the deceased is thought to be a man in his sixties, who had been reported missing last month and was last seen in Álftanes. Sævar added that the police’s identification committee still needs to verify this information. There are currently no indications that the death was the result of foul play.
