Concerns have emerged regarding a potential product defect in the Hau-Hau Champion dog chew toys, specifically the lightweight roll variety, associated with batch number 3200PF027 19684. Hau-Hau Champion is a brand of the Tampere-based company Prima Pet Premium, which is actively investigating the situation and will provide updates as information becomes available.

Dog owners have reported instances of their pets whimpering and shaking on social media, with many cases linked to the Hau-Hau Champion chew toys. CEO Timo Pärssinen stated that a few inquiries related to this matter have been received by the company. “The first step is to gather a comprehensive understanding of the situation. While it remains a suspicion, we take it seriously because it involves pets.”

The company has already contacted the Finnish Food Authority (Ruokavirasto) and is collaborating closely to resolve the issue. “We are deeply sorry for any potential product defect and are doing everything we can to address the situation promptly,” stated the company in a press release.

Ruokavirasto has reported that veterinarians have notified them of several illness cases, prompting concerns about a possible link between the symptoms and the Hau-Hau Champion chew toys.
