Espoo receives 46 applications for city manager position

The City of Espoo has announced that 46 applications were submitted by the deadline for the position of city manager. Out of these, 14 applicants meet the qualifications for the role. A preparation group, consisting of officials involved in the process and representatives from the city council leadership, will select candidates to be invited for interviews. The goal is to conduct interviews and personality assessments by the end of September.

The city manager selection will be presented to the city council on October 7. The council will make the final decision regarding the appointment. The city manager role is for a fixed term of seven years, after which the council can decide on extensions of up to four years.
