Espoo receives 46 applications for city manager position in Finland

The City of Espoo has received 46 applications for the position of city manager before the deadline, according to official communications. Of these applicants, 14 meet the required qualifications for the role. A preparation group, which includes officials and representatives from the city council leadership, will select candidates for interviews. The interviews and assessment evaluations are expected to take place by the end of September. The city council will review the selection of the city manager on October 7. The city manager will be appointed for a term of seven years, after which the council can decide on extensions of up to four years.
