Two People Hospitalized Following Fire Near Stokkseyri

Emergency services in Árnessýsla responded to a significant fire reported in a storage facility just outside Stokkseyri around 6 PM today. All available firefighting units from Selfoss and Þorlákshöfn were dispatched to the scene. According to officials, the storage building was fully engulfed in flames.

Two individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment due to suspected smoke inhalation. Firefighters have managed to extinguish the main blaze but continue to work on dousing any remaining embers on-site.
