Marius Borg Høiby charged with assault and vandalism in Frogner, Norway

In early August, Marius Borg Høiby was charged with assault and vandalism. The son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit admitted to using violence against his ex-girlfriend in an apartment in Frogner on the night of August 4.

The woman’s lawyer stated that the violence included strangulation and several punches. Police were first alerted to the incident at 12:30 PM on August 4.

According to police logs:

– 12:30 PM: A report was received regarding a violent incident in an apartment in Frogner. The victim was on site with the caller, while the suspect was not present. – 1:04 PM: Officers arrived at the apartment, establishing contact with the caller and the victim. – 1:22 PM: Officers began interviewing the victim and potential witnesses. – 1:47 PM: The on-duty prosecutor decided to arrest the suspect and conducted a search. – 2:45 PM: The mission to apprehend the suspect commenced. – 3:37 PM: Officers located the suspect and made contact. – 4:10 PM: The suspect was arrested without incident. – 4:57 PM: Officers arrived at the main detention center with the suspect.

Following the revelation of the charges against Høiby, two other former girlfriends accused him of violence, with both cases being treated as domestic abuse investigations.

Høiby previously admitted to using violence under the influence of cocaine. He stated, “Last weekend something that should never have happened occurred. I committed acts of violence and destroyed property in an apartment while under the influence of alcohol and cocaine after an argument.”

Scheduled interviews for Høiby were postponed as his attorney was unavailable. The new interview has been rescheduled for next week.
