One person dies in house fire in Haukipudas, Oulu

One person has died in a house fire in Haukipudas, Oulu. The police confirmed the incident in an official statement. The house was completely destroyed by the fire. Emergency services in North Ostrobothnia received the report of a medium-sized building fire around 4 PM. Seven fire units were dispatched to extinguish the blaze. When firefighters arrived at the scene, the fire had spread to the roof structure. By 6 PM, firefighting efforts were still ongoing, and authorities estimated that it would take several more hours to fully extinguish the flames.
