Police investigate shooting incident in Lahti involving middle-aged suspects

The Hämeen police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Lahti on Friday night as illegal threats, creation of danger, and firearm offenses. According to the police statement, the main suspects are two middle-aged men from Lahti.

On Friday, seven individuals were detained in connection with the incident, but they have since been released. The shooting prompted a significant police operation in the Mukkula district of Lahti. Emergency services received reports of gunfire around 7 PM. Fortunately, there were no fatalities or injuries resulting from the shooting.

Police have announced that they will continue the preliminary investigation, which will be completed following technical examinations and further inquiries.
