Mushroom picking season starts late in Southern and Northern Finland despite ideal conditions
The mushroom picking season in Southern and Northern Finland has started later than usual this year, according to Tuija Biskop, the executive director of the Central and Southern Ostrobothnia Martat and a commercial mushroom advisor. Despite the ideal weather conditions, there have been notably fewer porcini mushrooms than typically expected for this time of year. However, the season for chanterelles has been exceptionally abundant.
