A significant estate, including several buildings, a large plot of land, a summer theater, two saunas, and various antiques is currently up for auction on huutokaupat.com. Located just over 30 minutes from downtown Tampere, the Heiskan homestead in Hämeenkyrö has historically served various functions, including a summer theater, restaurant and café services, as well as event and sauna rental spaces.

The auction, which has been running for about three months, is nearing its conclusion. As of August 17, there have been 17 bids placed, with the highest hitting €40,001. The auction is set to end on August 31. Harri Jääskeläinen, the property manager for Hämeenkyrö municipality, describes the current bids as “warm-up bids” and is confident that bidding will intensify as the deadline approaches. He believes the final sale price could exceed €100,000.

Interest in the property has been significant, with viewings attracting around 10,000 visits to the auction listing. Potential buyers have also reached out with inquiries about living on the estate. Jääskeläinen confirmed that residing in the main building is an option, provided the municipality’s designation is updated to residential use, which would then offer residents access to local services like daycare and school transportation.

The municipality hopes to attract a creative buyer who will continue the estate’s legacy and foster desirable activities, rather than using it for purposes like auto repair or battery storage.
