Isavia has received no bomb threats against airlines operating to or from Keflavik Airport, the company’s information officer told mbl.is.

“Nothing remotely like this has come to our attention at Keflavik Airport involving airlines arriving or departing,” Guðjón Helgason said. He added that Isavia would continue to monitor the situation closely.

At least 12 bomb threats were reported to European airlines on Thursday. Fighter jets escorted several aircraft, and at least two flights were diverted, according to authorities and airlines.

Threats were reported aboard a Finnair flight from Helsinki to Rome and a Wizz Air flight from Milan to Warsaw. The Wizz Air aircraft was diverted to Vienna, Italian news agency ANSA reported.

It is the third day this week that multiple bomb threats have been reported. They have mainly targeted low-cost airlines operating within Europe.
