Garðabær receives 454 bids for building rights in Hnoðraholt

Garðabær has received 454 bids for building rights in Hnoðraholt, with most of them for detached-house plots, mbl.is reports.

There were 394 bids for detached-house plots and 57 for townhouse plots. In October, the town put 26 detached-house plots and space for 23 homes in four townhouse rows up for sale on the open market. It also invited building cooperatives to bid for the right to build 18 homes in five townhouse rows.

The bidding deadline was October 30. The bids were opened and considered at a Garðabær town council meeting on November 3. They are now being reviewed and classified before being processed and presented at a council meeting on November 10.
