A 37-year-old man has been sentenced to two years in prison and a 43-year-old man to six months suspended for producing drugs in Norðdepil, Kringvarp Føroya (KVF) reports.

The men were convicted of making eight litres of GHB, also known as G or fantasy, in a workshop. The younger man was also convicted of planning to produce two kilograms of amphetamine. Both were convicted of threatening a man and using unlawful coercion.

The offences took place in 2020. The younger man said he was not afraid to use a shotgun kept in their car.

The men, who are Danish, admitted making 200 millilitres of DHB but denied the other allegations. The 43-year-old accepted his sentence. The 37-year-old asked for time to consider whether to appeal to the Court of Appeal.
