Food authority checks Faroese refrigeration systems after cyberattacks

Several refrigeration systems in the Faroe Islands are the same type as equipment recently targeted in cyberattacks in Europe, KVF reports.

The Food and Veterinary Authority confirmed the findings after Vorn’s national emergency preparedness unit asked it to examine the situation in the Faroe Islands.

The authority’s food department sent an information letter to all relevant businesses on Tuesday, said Malan Nicolinudottir Mikkelsen, head of the department.
